Saw Tala Madani‘s exhibition, The Jinn, at Moderna Museet in Stockholm two years ago – loved her work and have been trying to find her since- couldn’t remember the name. Finally!
Just discovered Katrin Brack and I’m hopelessly in love!
I’ve just seen her Unidentified Objects exhibition at Soft Gallery in Oslo and was so inspired by her use of textiles to mimic nature that I had to post about it. Love the ink drawings too.
Studio Toogood is beyond good. It is a creative team helmed by Faye Toogood, which “DESIGNS, DIRECTS AND EXECUTES INTERIORS AND ENVIRONMENTS FROM CONCEPT THROUGH TO CREATION.” The few pictures I chose do not do their multisensory experiences justice. Just look at the website for yourself and watch this interview with Faye Toogood:
Norwegian artist that Sheryll introduced me to years ago! (shame on me for being out of it) Sheryll has observed that I like very theatrical and posed things, and she’s right, as you will see in some upcoming posts, if they ever do come up.. But I disagree about posed; theatrical, yes, posed, no. Do you think Rune’s work is more theatrical than posed?
Trippple Nippples is a 6 member band which is known for its fervent, chaotic sound and out of this world performances which include base pyrotechnics, flour filled egg shells, and it goes without saying, lots of energy. I love their aesthetic. Their costumes and stunts are simple and cheap yet so effective. LOVE IT.
